BACKGROUND: Started in2008 and 2009 with the creation of their first opportunity fund, the two primary partners sought investment opportunities in the distressed housing markets of the Greater Philadelphia Area. I served as the primary analyst and assistant at ICON Realty, the start-up Real Estate investing agency of the fund. Responsibilities:

  • Performed DCF analysis on potential acquisitions for the partners to review and decide on further action.
  • Assisted in due diligence of potential acquisitions, particularly lien and title history.
  • Helped source properties through cold calling with local banks.
  • Worked to developed specific quantitative models for easier and earlier recognition of fund opportunities.
  • Performed market research to forecast property value trends in the Philadelphia area.
  • Assisted property management: communicating/assisting tenants and reviewing leasing agreements.

Bellevue Property Management
  • Assisted Management in improving property value with support roles on architectural projects, building redevelopment and tenant relations.
  • Developed marketing campaigns with the public relations staff for Food Court and Bellevue in general.
  • Edited and updated the emergency manual for Bellevue Management.

  • Cycled 3,619 miles across the U.S. from Yorktown, VA to San Francisco in 49 days averaging 85 miles/day.
  • Solicited donations totaling $38,543.42 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
  • Worked through personal and business networks to collected $13,000 in sponsorship for trip costs.
  • Developed In-Kind relationships, giving us free or at cost access to equipment.

Cornell Men’s Varsity Heavyweight Rowing                                                                                                                                                           Fall 2008 – Fall 2009
  • Walked on to the team with no rowing experience, ending the season in the top boat.
  • Practiced 20 plus hours per week, fall, winter and spring.
  • Took Third Place at Eastern Sprints and Sixth Place at the Intercollegiate National Rowing Regatta (IRA).
